April 29 @ 11:00 am12:30 pm
Free
Please SAVE THE DATE for a special *hybrid* program for Records & Information Management Month. Note the special date and meeting time. This will also be offered in hybrid format (with both in person and virtual options to attend).

Topic: Strategies for Managing Project Files

Managing project files can feel daunting. How are you supposed to handle all these records that feel like they should have different retention lengths? How do you keep drafts and proposals separate from the final product? How do you dispose of these records when they might be useful in the future? In honor of RIM month, we’ll tackle these (and other!) questions and discuss strategies on how to keep your project files managed.

👤Presenter: Hannah Kolesar, Senior Records Consultant, Washington State Archives

Hannah Kolesar is a Senior Records Consultant with the Washington State Archives, working to bring clarity to the public records retention process. She holds a Master’s of Library and Information Science from Drexel University and a Master’s of Jurisprudence from the University of Washington. Prior to pivoting to records management, she worked in academic and museum archives. She is the only person to have ever been excited to pay a recording fee.

The ARMA Cascadia Chapter hosts meetings and educational programs monthly from September to June each year.

Current members of the ARMA Cascadia Chapter will receive an invitation automatically. Not a member? You’ll need to email the Chapter to get meeting details.
